Adenike Ajayi

Adenike has significant years of experience in the financial services industry. She rose to the post of MD/CEO of United Capital Trustees Limited (former UBA Trustees Limited) - the pioneer and foremost Trustee/Security Agency business in Nigeria. After her retirement in March 2021, she was subsequently appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of United Capital Plc and all its Subsidiaries comprising Asset Management, Stockbroking and Trustees from which she retired in April 2022 for other opportunities.

She qualified as a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1986 after a Bachelor of Law Degree from University of Ife, Ile-Ife, Oyo State, Nigeria in 1985. Prior to joining the UBA group in 1989, she was in private legal practice. She is a very experienced trustee and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Management (Fellow), Business Recovery & Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN), INSOL International, Association of Investment Advisers & Portfolio Managers (Fellow), Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria, National Institute of Credit Administration (FICA)(Fellow) and the British Council. She was a founding Trustee of The Association of Corporate Trustees and served in various Roles as Financial Secretary, Vice-President and President between 2016 and 2021.

Adenike has vast experience in a wide range of Capital Markets, Corporate Trust/Security Agent, Real Estate and Private Trust transactions with mandates involving Loan Syndications and Project Finance, Note/Bond Issuances and Programmes, Debenture Trusts, Collective Investment Schemes/REITs, and Private Trust. She is an accomplished financial services professional, expert, mentor and leader.

She is currently the Chief Operating Officer of TOLG Advisors.
